1. Preparation

Before installation, the following steps must be performed:

  1. Set the old thermostat to the highest setting (this makes disassembly easier).
  2. Remove the old thermostat head by loosening the union nut or removing the plug connection.
  3. If necessary: ​​Select and attach valve adapter
    • The thermostat fits directly onto M30x1.5 valves .
    • For Danfoss valves, an adapter included in the delivery is required.

2. Installing the new thermostat

  1. Place the thermostat on the valve

    • Screw onto the valve by hand and tighten.
    • Use adapter if necessary:

    • Open the battery compartment and insert two AA batteries .
    • Close the battery compartment → The display lights up for 3 seconds.
  3. Installation mode starts automatically

    • After inserting the batteries, the software version is briefly displayed.
    • Then “InS” appears for 2 seconds – the device is ready for the adaptation run.

3. Start adaptation drive

The adaptation drive (“AdA”) adjusts the thermostat to the heating valve and checks that it is correctly installed.

  1. Press the confirmation button to start the adaptation drive.
  2. The display shows “AdA” and the thermostat begins calibration.
  3. If errors occur:
    • F1: Valve is stuck → Check if the heating valve is blocked.
    • F2: Adjustment range too large → Check the fastening.
    • F3: Adjustment range too small → valve resistance too high?
    • F4: Valve not recognized → Tighten thermostat correctly and restart adaptation run.

💡 Note: If the problem persists, remove the device, insert spacers if necessary, and try again.


4. Completing the installation

After a successful adaptation run, the device automatically switches to normal mode .

  1. Check the assembly:

    • The thermostat sits firmly on the valve.
    • No unusual noises when adjusting the temperature.
  2. Set the date and time (if you haven’t already done so).

  3. The thermostat is now ready for use.
