A Venetian blind provides both sun protection and privacy. It's usually mounted on the inside of the window and consists of several slats. These are usually movable, allowing you to adjust the degree of sun protection using a chain pull integrated into the side.
One advantage of blinds is that, despite blocking out the sun, light can still enter the room. Unlike a completely closed roller shutter, they also still allow ventilation.
A blind does not necessarily have to be operated manually: There are also smart electrically operated blinds that raise and lower automatically. This is made possible by a Actuator that is installed in the flush-mounted box. The smart blinds are then operated via app, remote control, voice command, or, more traditionally, via buttons on the wall.
