The radiator thermostat is part of the heating system. It regulates how much heating water flows through the radiator and thus serves to control the temperature of the heating system.

In existing buildings, you can often still find old radiator thermostats that can only be turned left/right to a different level to adjust the heating output. Modern Smart home radiator thermostats Do more: Users can program various heating profiles via the radiator thermostat or the associated app, thus adjusting the heating output precisely to their needs. For example, it is possible to keep the temperature constant at 17 degrees at night, increase it to 21 degrees from Monday to Friday between 6 and 9 a.m., and then lower it back to 17 degrees until the end of the day. Once the heating profile is programmed, the user no longer needs to adjust it manually. The heating does its job automatically. By programming the smart radiator thermostat specifically, heating costs can be reduced by up to 30 percent per year.
