Burglary protection

Burglary protection includes all preventive measures taken to prevent break-ins, e.g., into your house or apartment.

Conventional burglary protection measures include:

  • Installing a security lock on your front door
  • Double locking the front door
  • Installing roller shutters
  • Never leave windows open when you are away
  • No posting of holiday photos on social media
  • Installing motion detectors (e.g. in the garden and at the front door)

Since smart home technology has been on the market, additional effective measures have become possible to deter potential burglars:

  • Setting up automated lighting scenarios makes burglars believe someone is at home – the perfect deterrent during the holiday season.
  • Equally effective: automated raising and lowering of shutters in the morning and evening.
  • Installing smart alarm sirens in conjunction with window and door sensors: If the door is opened without authorization, an alarm will sound. At the same time, you'll receive a warning message on your phone, allowing you to call the police immediately.
