The term CE is an abbreviation of "Communauté Européenne," or "European Community." You can find the CE label on various technical products. It indicates whether the product meets the EU's high technical standards. These standards relate to product safety, environmental protection, and health protection.
A CE marking is mandatory for all smart home products – otherwise, the product may not be sold in the EU. However, the CE marking does not tell you personally about the quality of the device; it only informs the relevant authorities about compliance with the standards.
