Smart home lockout protection prevents you from accidentally locking yourself out of your home. A concrete example: You're sitting comfortably on the patio late at night, it's getting dark – and suddenly the electric shutters automatically close. The patio door is blocked by the shutters before you can get inside in time. If you've integrated lockout protection into your smart home, this can't happen.
Lockout protection is usually installed via a window handle sensor. If the patio door is still open when the roller shutters automatically close, the sensor detects this and blocks the scheduled closing. If you later manually close the patio door, the sensor also detects this, and the original timer for closing the roller shutters resumes for the next day.
