essentials Smart Home Central
You can easily connect the hub to your home router using the included network cable. You can power the device using the micro-USB cable, which is also included. On the top of the device, you'll find two status LEDs and a small reset button next to the USB slot.
The control center is connected – now the app is missing, which you can easily download from App Store or Google Play Store After successfully downloading, you'll need to create a user account. The clean design ensures you can quickly find all important settings, and you can add products as you wish using the "+" symbol in the top right corner. Now you're ready to go.
essentials Smart Home motion sensor
You can place the particularly small motion sensor from essentials (4 cm high, 3.5 cm in diameter) anywhere, and above all, discreetly. To set it up, press the larger hole on the side of the sensor for five seconds. Use the included reset pin to do this. The blue status LED, also located on the side, will then light up. You can now integrate the sensor into your Wi-Fi network using the essentials app. Simply follow the instructions in the app.
You can change the battery of the wireless motion sensor in just a few seconds. To do so, simply turn the bottom of the motion sensor to replace the CR2450 button cell battery.
essentials Smart Home Window/Door Sensor
Similar to the motion sensor, the essentials window and door sensor impresses with its compact size, allowing for discreet installation. The sensor consists of two components, each with an adhesive backing for easy installation. Arrows on the product surface also provide orientation.
Just like with the motion sensor, you need to insert the reset pin into the small hole on the bottom of the sensor. Once the sensor is in pairing mode, the status LED will glow blue. You can then integrate it into the app using the "+" symbol.
If you need to change the battery, you will find the CR2032 button cell in the larger sensor unit.
essentials smart home alarm siren
Of course, a smart alarm siren is a must. The essentials alarm siren simply plugs into a power outlet. In addition to a signal tone that reaches 95 dB, you can also set a silent flashing mode. The siren ring starts flashing red when an alarm is triggered. Both options can be used simultaneously, of course, to deter any burglar.
Similar to the other two sensors, you use the reset pin to activate pairing mode, allowing you to integrate the alarm siren into the essentials app using the "+" symbol. The siren also has a built-in battery, allowing it to operate for up to four hours without power.
Security can mean more than just burglary protection: With the temperature and humidity sensor and water sensor from essentials, you can always keep an eye on the humidity in your basement, for example. These products can also be easily connected and used with the essentials Smart Home app. One app for everything!
